Fall 2025 Ellipsis Math Placement Test
Who needs to take the placement test?
For the Fall semester classes, ALL students (including returning Ellipsis Math students) who are interested in enrolling to the Ellipsis Math classes are required to take this FREE online placement test. Summer break is quite lengthy, and we want to ensure that all students are appropriately challenged and placed in the right Ellipsis Math level.

Please use the sign up link below to sign up for this free placement test. NOTE: This placement test is available for students in grade 2 and up. We request grade 1 students to wait until next year to take the placement test.

Virtual Open House
We will hold an online virtual open house on Saturday, Sep 6th at 11:00am PDT. During this open house, we will share more detail information about our programs and there will be time for Q&A as well.
Our system will automatically send an email (containing the Open House Zoom meeting link) on Friday, Sep 5th to all who signed up for the placement test. Attendance is first come first served and is limited to 100 attendees.
Change Request
Once your student is registered, if you'd like to request changes in your student information, you can submit a change request HERE. Our system will automatically send you an email confirmation once the changes have been completed.

- Sign up closes 3 days before each test date/time slot.
- Once you've signed up, you'll receive an automated confirmation email within a few minutes. This email contains a button to re-schedule the test to a different date/time slot if needed. If you don't see this confirmation email, please also check your spam folder.

- You will receive an email from [email protected] containing the test link and other details about this test a day or two before the test day. To ensure that this email doesn't go to your spam folder, you can add [email protected] to your contact list.
- You are highly encouraged to attend a virtual open house on Sat, Sep 6th at 11am PDT even if you are familiar with our programs already. You can sign up to attend this open house in the placement test sign up form.
- On Wednesday, Sep 10th at 6pm PDT, we will send out an email result containing the Ellipsis Math level recommendation for your student and the link to enroll your student to the recommended Ellipsis Math class. Seats are limited and enrollment is first come first served.
- We don't release the test questions, answers, scores or other test analytics. We assess student’s Math skills by analyzing various areas (appropriate to the corresponding Math level) and score is irrelevant.
Why do students need to take the placement test?
We strive to ensure that all students are appropriately challenged and placed in the right level. Because of this, all students who are interested in our Ellipsis Math classes (including returning students) are required to take this FREE Placement test.
Placement Test Results
- The individual placement test result email (containing the Ellipsis Math level recommendation for your student and the link to enroll your student to the recommended Ellipsis Math class) will be sent out to parents on Wednesday, Sep 10th at 6pm PDT. Enrollment is first come first serve and many classes filled up quickly. Please mark your calendar to ensure that you don’t miss this.
- For parents who are interested in enrolling, we recommend looking at the class schedule beforehand to determine 2 or 3 class options in case the first option is full. The Fall 2025 Ellipsis Math class schedule can be found at HERE.
- If the enrollment link doesn’t load properly the first time, please try again. Sometimes when there is high traffic volume, the link might not load the first time.
