ELLIPSIS TECH 1 - INTRO TO COMPUTING AND CODING WITH SCRATCH AND RASPBERRY PI

Prerequisite: know how to use keyboard and mouse, basic understanding of coordinates
This class is intended for students who has little or no background in computing or coding. This class introduces students to
- Basic components and workings of a computer (such as input/output devices, Operating System, Software/Hardware, Applications)
- Core programming concepts (such as variables, loops, conditional logic, debugging) .
- Using Scratch programming language to apply the core programming concepts and develop fun games, interactive story and animation
In each session students have the opportunity to apply core programming concepts by developing fun animation, interactive story, simple games.
Scratch is a visual programming language developed by MIT. It allows student to code and learn the concept of programming by dragging and dropping instructions without having to memorize or type complex programs.
