Elly Sarwono (Founder/Director, Math Coach)
Math and helping young minds grow has always been Elly's passion. Ever since she left her Executive job years ago, she has been involved in numerous efforts in education. She developed a unique and effective Math enrichment and advancement programs and applied these programs to help students grow and advance their Math abilities.
Elly's focus has always been in both helping those who would like to advance and also those who needed to strengthen their math skills. She has coached thousands of students since 2006 and she enjoys every moment of it.

Edhi Sarwono, (Co-founder/CTO, STEM coach)
Edhi received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering. He is passionate in STEM education and helping children grow and excel. For the last 21 years, Edhi has experienced various technical leadership roles in development and program management at Microsoft and he often uses science, engineering and math in a practical way to solve problems and develop new technologies.
Edhi enjoys working with kids and helping them grow to be great problem solvers and innovators. He has various experiences in coaching math and computer programming and he is active in both his daughter's' education. Together with Elly, he helped built a strong foundation for them. Edhi is currently working on developing IoT (Internet of Things) solutions.

Kateryna Seniuk (Math Curriculum Development, Math Coach)
Kateryna got her Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Chernivtsi National University in Ukraine. She published over 30 articles in various mathematical journals. She has taught college level math but found passion in teaching younger students.
She has coached Math teams in various elementary and middle schools since 2010 and she also taught at Prime Factor. She absolutely enjoys math and loves taking kids to the different math competitions. She spends her spare times volunteering at various math events.

Louise Lee (Math Coach)
Louise graduated from Georgia Tech in computer science with more than 10 advance mathematics courses from college. She had 10 years of IT experience, but she has always enjoyed problem solving since very early age. She has been involved in competition math coaching for many years in the Bear Creek School and Beaver Lake Middle school.
She has worked with numerous math curriculum such as Singapore Math, Saxon Math, and McDougal Littell Algebra and Geometry. She is passionate about math and teaching the subject. She hopes to help students to gain confidence on problem solving, to have accuracy and proficiency in computation, and to appreciate the beauty of mathematics.

Sree Lalitha (Math Coach)
Sree Lalitha has an electrical engineering degree from JNT University, India. As a passionate educator she believes teaching math is better done by having kids understand the problem logically and attempt to solve pictorially.
She also teaches language classes and is part of the curriculum committee at Telugu Bharati. She is excited to coach at Ellipsis Academy and confident this will be a right medium for not just gaining kids interest but making them successful in viewing mathematics in everyday life.

Akshaya Amit (Math Coach)
Akshaya received her bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Pune, India. Mathematics has always been one of her favorite subjects.
She spent several years imparting basic education in Math, Science and English to underprivileged children and adults in India, and further continued as a volunteer at the Gurukul Indian cultural school in Redmond.
She loves interacting with kids, and after a few years teaching her son and his friends at home, she is excited to join the Ellipsis Academy as a Mathematics coach.

Jim Francis (Math Coach)
Jim has a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Washington and has been teaching at various colleges and universities in the Seattle area. He currently teaches math and statistics at Lake Washington Institute of Technology and privately tutors college and high school students. In his spare time Jim is involved in music (including the Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society each summer and with the Dickens Carolers during the holiday season) and enjoys playing piano, pickleball, and board and card games (but not all at the same time!).
Jim is excited to join the Ellipsis team and bring his teaching experience to help younger students master topics in mathematics and improve their quantitative problem-solving skills.

Yogita Manghnani (Math Coach)
Yogita Manghnani holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from University of South Carolina and has over 15 years of professional working experience at Microsoft. She has many years of experience teaching math and science to kids in India, teaching Comp Sci 101 to undergraduate students at USC as well as teaching for 7 years at Indian language school, Gurukul. She is excited about joining Ellipsis and looks forward to teaching her favorite subject (Math) to the next generation.
Wen Yi Aw (Math Coach)
Wen Yi is a student at the University of Washington pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Math, with a concentration in Economics. As a research assistant who collects, codes, and examines data, she is interested in a career in data science.
She previously worked as a piano instructor, and enjoys helping students achieve new skills and higher levels of understanding. She is excited to bring her experience in applying math in real world issues to help students recognize its uses, and motivate them to have fun with math.

Caitlin Sarwono (Math Coach)
Caitlin is a college student pursuing a degree in Education at University of Washington. She is a former Ellipsis Academy student, back when it was called “Math in Action” at Norman Rockwell Elementary. She loves math and has competed and placed in many competitions such as Math is Cool Masters, Mt. Rainier, and Math Olympiad. Caitlin loves working with kids and is so excited to be a part of the Ellipsis Academy coaching team. Caitlin is coaching both Ellipsis Math classes and FlexMath as well. In addition, she is also teaching Elementary Voice at the Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts.
Jackson Subcleff (Math/Tech Coach)
Jackson is a college student pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Cornell University, intending to minor in Cognitive Sciences. He is passionate about both math and computer science, and throughout his academic career has competed in several math competitions and pursued various personal programming projects. He achieved an almost perfect SAT score (1590 out of 1600) and he achieved perfect scores on both the math section of the SAT and the Math 2 subject test. He has experiences in tutoring AP Computer Science students as well. He is very excited to be a part of the Ellipsis Academy coaching team, and hopes to help students improve their problem-solving abilities and recognize how fun and powerful math and computer science can be.
Colton Jobes (Math/Tech Coach)
Colton is a direct admit student to the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington studying computer science. He is very passionate about math and computer science and spends a lot of his free time working on new programming projects to further his knowledge and have fun. Colton achieved a near perfect SAT score of 1550, a perfect score on the SAT math section, and a perfect score on the SAT Math level 2 subject test. He has tutored math and computer science throughout high school and has many hours of experience explaining mathematical concepts through calculus to grade-school level students.
Colton is very enthusiastic about the opportunity to get students excited about math and computer science, and hopes they will grow to enjoy expanding their knowledge and problem solving skills in these areas as much as he does, having fun along the way!

Wyatt Morris (Math/Tech Coach)
Wyatt is a college student pursuing a joint major in Math and Computer Science at Boston University. He is passionate about both math and computer science, and in his free time enjoys playing chess. Wyatt was in the top 1 percent of SAT scores with a 1530, and a near perfect 790 in the math section. He also received perfect scores on the SAT Math 2 and Physics subject exams. He was a high school Calculus and Physics tutor, while also picking up Python tutoring in college. He is very excited to be a part of the Ellipsis Academy coaching team, and hopes to help students have a complete understanding of the subject instead of memorizing a formula. He believes that the path to enjoying Math and Computer science is not through memorization, but through problem solving and understanding.
Jared Tran (Math/Tech Coach)
Jared is a college student pursuing a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Business Entrepreneurship at the University of Washington. He loves math and computer science, and throughout his career he has competed in numerous math competitions placing 2nd in the nation for Matrices & Determinants in 2016. He spends time working on software projects to increase his knowledge and experience in computer science. Jared has had previous experience assistant coaching an elementary math team and has worked several months as a tutor for his local library. He is very excited to be a part of the Ellipsis Academy coaching team, and hopes to help students improve their problem-solving abilities and kindle a passion for math and computer science.
Jacob Lee (Math/Tech Coach)
Jacob is a third year at the University of Washington pursuing a computer engineering degree. He is passionate about new technology and the robotics field. He has completed all the required math classes for his major and also scored 800 in math on both the normal SAT and the math 2 subject test. He has peer tutored for both math and computer science and hopes to share his interest with his students.

Alexa is a college student pursuing a degree in public health at the University of Washington. She is also on the premed track and has completed college level calculus, chemistry, biology, physics, and organic chemistry. She was in the top one percent of both SAT and ACT scores in high school. She has experience tutoring at the high school and college level in math and physics as part of the National Honor Society. Alexa's main passion is working with children. She has volunteered her time as an elementary level tutor in math and hopes to become a pediatrician.
George Michaelov (Math/Tech Coach)
George is a student at Seattle University. He is double majoring in computer science and mathematics. He has been fascinating with math since he was in elementary. By the time he graduated high school, he had taken all the math requirements for BS in computer science, as well as many of the coding class, and was only 4 math classes away from meeting the math requirements for a BS in applied mathematics. He also has previous experience working with kids as a swim instructor and as a math teacher’s assistant. As a previous student of Ellipsis Academy, he is excited to share his knowledge and show kids the exciting path of math and science.
Galina Petrova (Math Coach)
Galina is an Electrical and Computer Engineering student at University of Washington. She loves math and her current favorite math class is linear algebra (MATH 208)! She has mentored many younger kids since middle school with their math and science. Her main goal as a Math Coach is to support kids in their math journeys while keeping it fun!
Oleg Ianchenko (Math/Tech Coach)
Oleg is a direct admit to the Paul G. Allen School at the University of Washington, pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering and Applied Math. Oleg has developed a passion for CS from his first "Hello World" program in second grade and since has built several applications and projects, winning his first collegiate hackathon in his sophomore year of high school. He is adept at a multitude of disciplines – from calculus and linear algebra to machine learning and web development – using his skills to tutor high school and college students in these fields. Outside of his own university work, he loves to cook, to backpack, and is excited help students find their own love for the art of problem solving in both math and CS.
Aaron Banh (Math Coach)
Aaron is a Mathematics student at the University of Washington, pursuing a Math endorsement through the teacher preparation option. He has always found so much joy in math and any other form of problem-solving, and is passionate about education as a means for empowerment. He has worked as a tutor for the Tukwila School District and a camp mentor with the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science. In his free time, he loves reading and film photography. He is extremely excited to be a part of the Ellipsis Academy team!
