*Ellipsis Academy has helped me grow as a student tremendously. As a Cambridge student I was kind of worried that the FlexMath sessions wouldn’t help me or I would just end up more confused on the topics because of the different methods they might teach me. But I was wrong. In fact, thanks to my coach (Coach Jim) I was able to gain easier methods of solving harder math problems, such as solving differentiation and integration problems, and the extra practice with a tutor really helped boost my confidence in my math class. My math grades have definitely improved ever since I joined Ellipsis Academy.*

**--Khushi T, 10th grader at Juanita High School (Cambridge Program)***My 10 yr old really enjoyed the Ellipsis tech classes. The classes are project based, which make it a fun learning experience. More importantly, Edhi is a wonderful instructor with a true passion in teaching. He communicates the materials with the kids very well and welcomes questions. When my son already grasped a concept in the class, Edhi will always try to challenge him even more. I will not hesitate to enroll my son in Edhi's future tech class session.*

*Ellipsis math program is very inspiring to my son. He was bored at school and Ellipsis Math was giving him the much needed challenge and interesting take on math. We heard from other parents about Ellipsis Math and thought that I would just give it a short try. My son loves it and he has been in the program for almost 2 years now.*

*Thank you Louise for teaching Noel for the last two years. Noel had a great time at Ellipsis.*

Ellipsis helped him to sharpen his math skills and do well in different competitions. You motivated him to love solving math problems rather than doing it mechanically. He was looking forward for the class every week and he didn’t want to miss it even when he was sick.

Hope he gets to participate in Ellipsis classes in the coming years.

*My son participated in an Ellipsis math team class last year and enjoyed it so much that we signed up for a Math 5 class this year. Katie was an excellent instructor, who was able to explain concepts and solutions clearly, while incorporating fun, challenging games into her class. My son found the classwork meatier and more enjoyably challenging than what he encounters at school. He loved the Math 5 class and hopes to continue next year.*

*I am very happy with the Ellipsis math program. My son enjoys the weekly math lesson and continues to be challenged at his math level each week. Ellipsis requires an annual assessment to make sure kids are placed in the appropriate class that fits their ability-level, regardless of their grade level. They also offer various different locations which I find very convenient. It's a great math enrichment program that's really worth the money! I hope to join their math and coding summer camps this year.*

*--J T, Feb 2018*

*I spent two years with the math program while at Rockwell Elementary and went to several math competitions. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and Ellipsis helped me and my team to win several awards. I now have a solid foundation in mathematics and lifelong friends thanks to Ellipsis Academy!*

**--Harold H, Feb 2018***Since the first day Nicholas started Python class at Ellipsis, he can't stop talking about the class and what he's been learning daily. He's taken some coding classes previously, and has never shown such level of excitement to go to class the next day. He enjoys very much the coding teacher's teaching style. He is a wonderful teacher who engages very well with his students. The class has definitely driven out Nicholas' interest and curiosity to learn more. The class is not yet over and he has already asked to enroll in the next class! Thank you so much for such great learning experience.*

*Pratham enjoyed coming to Edhi's Pre-Algebra class and was happy to work on his problems. Thank you so much for the guidance and encouragement. The material, teaching and constant updates helped me to understand what was being taught and the progress being made. Also the special care given to help him cope up in areas that needed improvement is truly appreciated.*

**--Nirguna, June 2017***My son is actually sad the course (Ellipsis Tech 2) is over. He had a great time, the course was really informative, interesting. Edhi is a fantastic educator who actively involves, introduced new concepts and tools of Tech world in a fun manner. Highly recommended. Great course! My son can’t wait to start the next one.*

*Thank you for teaching Ellipsis Math at Rosa Parks this year. The kids learned a lot and had a lot of fun. You inspire their interests in math and encourage them thinking strategically. We were so lucky to have you this year.*

*-- Xiao Lei (parent of Ellipsis Rosa Parks), Jun 2017**Thank you Louise for a year full of challenging and interesting math. Thanks to your gentle approach, my son was able to pick up different problem solving skills. Your communication with parents was excellent, so we were always informed about and could help the kids prepare.*

*My son felt insecure about his ability and was initially reticent to join. However, he found Elly's class so engaging and exciting, he rated it a "9.9 out of 10" stars his first day. Each week, he looked forward to class. He has commented that there is a lot of homework but that its contents are fun and more interesting than his regular classwork. Elly encouraged him to participate in math challenges--some of which were nationwide--and he enjoyed being part of something even bigger than a class. We feel lucky to have found Ellipsis and hope to participate again next year. Thank you, Elly!*

*I am very surprised that Jerry got both high score at NLMC and MK this year.*

*He began to attend Ellipsis Math 4 from Sept last year. Rizwana is his coach.*

*I find he makes a big progress at Math during this time. I can't imagine he could win any Math medal before.*

*Thank you very much for your support. Ellipsis is really a good place to learn and have fun.*

**--Linmin, Ziang (Jerry) Tan's Mom (Rockwell) (May 2017)***Ellipsis Math is a great enrichment program for kids who have a special interest in Math. The teachers are very qualified and keep the class engaged. They encourage students to actively participate in class and provide incentives for doing so. They follow a pretty rigorous curriculum and the homeworks that are given are also very thought-provoking and interesting. Teachers also provide feedback to parents on the topics that are taught in class. Ellipsis Math organizes an annual Math Challenge Tournament that my son absolutely enjoys. They also share details of other Math Tournaments and Festivals happening in and around the Seattle area. Overall, I am extremely happy to be sending my son to Ellipsis Academy and encourage other parents to do the same, if they have sons or daughters who have an interest in Math.*

*My son Robert attended Ellipsis Math 5 and enjoyed the class a lot. He was always excited to go. In addition to teaching different math concepts, his math teacher, Katie, taught the kids mental math skills and prepared them for math competitions. Katie gave the students class money for completing their homework. Getting class money motivated Robert to do not only the required homework but also the optional homework. Katie always followed up with the parents giving updates on the math topics and homework assignments. Robert had a great year at Ellipsis Academy and did well at several math competitions. I would definitely recommend the program to other parents. Thank you, Katie and Ellipsis Academy, for this math program!*

**-- Victoria (Robert's mom) (June 2016)***Justin was attending Ellipsis Math at his school. Ellipsis Math is the optimal environment for the math enthusiasts to nurture their passion for math, expanding their school social life with those who share the same interest. It is another reason to love school!*

Amy had a great time learning together as a group and competing as a team. She gained a huge amount of competence and confidence with math. The topics covered and assignments were really good. Her math coach Elly took the students to different team math competitions and also prepared them for individual math competitions. Elly goes above and beyond to help students succeed. Definitely recommend this program to other students who want to excel in Math.

It gave him wealth of logical thinking, Speed in Math, Mental Math skills and so on. I would love to continue Dhruv in Ellipses Academy if they have any program beyond 5th grade and would recommend to other kids too. Elly gave lot of support, encouragement and motivation to her team. This is the best program that I have ever seen.. please continue such programs.*

*-- A parent from Ellipsis 5 Audubon (June 2015)**Both of my girls(9,12) were able to learn math beyond the surface by attending EA. They got a chance to think deeper and learn higher math concepts unavailable in regular classrooms. The challenges they got through EA were perfect for them to be intellectually stimulated to become more motivated to learn math. I'm really thankful that they did EA.*

**-Taeok (June 2015)***Excellent program run by Elly and Katie. Programs are helpful for kids and challenge them to grow in math.*

*-- A parent from Ellipsis Rockwell (June 2015)**I volunteered many time at the Ellipsis 5 class at Rockwell. Students advanced so much more in this class. Not only that, they had a great time learning together as a group and competing as a team. We wish to have a similar program in middle school and hopeful that my daughter will continue to advance in this subject.*

My daughter is in the fourth grade program at Rockwell and had learned so much and had a blast with the group.

The curriculum really take students to learn topics in depth. I was not sure about how advance the program at the beginning. My son is in Quest but he was really being challenged throughout the program. The problem solving materials were really good and made my son think. He enjoyed the assignments as it gave him different perspectives on math.

My son enjoyed being in Mrs. Elly's class, reviewing previous topics and learning new notions. The math games in every lesson kept my son's interest in the program and he liked to earn the FAKE money by efforts. It is a great math experience for him.

When we moved to Rockwell in 2010, we were so lucky to be able to get in to Elly's afterschool math class (Math in Action Class). My daughter enjoyed her experience very much. At the beginning, it was hard she said and a lot of more assignments than she's used to. But in the end she said it was worth it. It gave her an edge and confident. She transitioned well to Algebra 1 class in seventh grade.

*-- Anna C (August 2013)**Trishla took 6th Grade Math In Action classes from Elly in 2011-2012. To be honest, while signing up, Trishla wasn’t sure that Math was ‘the’ subject where she would prefer advance coaching. But during the course of the year she got inspired by Elly and completed the fairly rigorous coaching with flying colors. Trishla particularly remembers the fun they had during probability/ permutation combination classes where they learnt how to apply these principals in practical life. Trishla also treasures the life skills she picked up during these MIA classes with intense teamwork that was required for team competitions like Math kangaroo, Math is cool, and Math Olympiad. Trishla is currently in ICS 7th grade and thanks to the MIA coaching she is able to manage her rigorous ICS Math curriculum with ease. Elly is an inspiring coach and got the best out of her students. I would recommend MIA for all budding students who want to excel in Math.*

*Thanks,*

*-- Sandeep & Mayoori (July 2013)**It was a privilege to have a dedicated math coach like Elly for my daughter, Anika! She made math fun, making my daughter want to attend the math club class every week. She offered incentives for the children who wanted to work above and beyond the weekly homework. The coaching prepared my daughter for the math in the next grades and for the math competitions the group excelled in. Elly kept the children motivated.*

Thanks,

Thanks,

*-- Nelima D (July 2013)**My son (Garvit M) likes doing math problems and he enjoyed MIA Program thru school (Norman Rockwell) in 2011-2012. It was an excellent opportunity to participate in the afterschool class taught by Elly Sarwono. As a Coach, she taught math in a very scientific way, by following the process of students thinking and strategies, rather than formula based. This makes Math FUN while establishing a strong foundation for higher math.*

My daughter was in a math team that Elly coached back in 2006-2009. Elly taught her not only about math but also about hard work, perseverance, and believe in herself. Elly took her team to a number of competitions and brought home trophies and plaques for Rockwell. She had a blast!

*Rita Y (July 2013)**My name is Ken Mincin and Elly coached our son Milo during his fifth and sixth grade years at Rockwell Elementary. It made an immediate impact on his understanding of math. Besides their math studies, the group also took part in a few math competitions. It was new to them and they had no idea what to expect. When they came home with numerous trophies, they realized that they indeed belonged. The knowledge and confidence they gained from Elly, along with putting in that extra time in MIA after school with her, was well worth it. It had helped immensely in Milo's transition into junior high school and his being able to take an advanced math course there. He continued on that road, basically being a year ahead in math, all through junior high. He is now a sophomore at RHS and has a firm grasp in his math studies.*

**-- Ken Mincin - July 2013***By attending Elly's classes of Math in Action my son became very fond of math. He was looking forward excitedly to each session every week. He was confident about the math skills he learned from Elly. He learned that there were always many ways to solve a problem. He appreciated to be part of a team and realized hard working is necessary to achieve his goals. He did all the practice on his own without us asking. Elly's diligent working attitude has a positive influence on my son that went far beyond just math. It was a privilege to be able to attend Elly's class and we were very grateful for what she taught our son.*

*Jane Wang (Ian's mom) - June 2013**Elly is a fabulous math teacher. My daughter attended Elly's class during her third, fourth, and fifth grades. My daughter gained a huge amount of competence and confidence with math, all while having fun. My daughter said, "It was really fun because we got to play math games, and all the practice helped cement my learning, and prepared me well for algebra". Elly is passionate about math. She instills a love of math which continues to yield invaluable results, even years down the road.*
