Gear up for the Fall 2020 Math Challenge Tournament! This year's tournament will be held online on Saturday December 12, 2020. All registered students can start the test anytime between 10am - 5pm PST (Pacific Standard Time). Once students have started the test, they will have one hour to complete it in one sitting. The test questions and answers will not be released until December 14th to uphold the integrity of the tournament.
This tournament is open to all grade 2 – 6 students. Students in grade 1 can participate, however, they will be competing at a grade 2 division 2 level.

School Give Back Program
Education is a critical foundation to a bright future and Ellipsis Academy would like to contribute and do our part on this journey. Although the Fall 2020 Math Challenge Tournament® will be held online, Ellipsis Academy will continue to honor the 15% give back programs for eligible and participating public/private schools and/or non-profit centers/organizations.
You can find all participating schools and the 3-digit code HERE. If your school is participating in the MCT give back program, you can enter the school's 3-digit code in the MCT registration form. If your school is not participating in the give back program, you can leave the field blank. Eligible schools will receive 15% of the tournament fee based on the number of students who entered the Schools' 3 digit code.
Student's registration
This tournament is open to Grade 1 – 6 students. Students in Grade 1 will be competing at a grade 2 level. Please note the following before registering your student(s).

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE TEST
- Our system will automatically send out the test result to the email address that you’ve provided (on the test page) on Monday, Dec 14th. There are large number of students participating in this tournament, please give it the whole day before emailing us. We appreciate your patience.
- The test result email will be coming from Ellipsis Academy using the [email protected] email address. Please add [email protected] to your contact list or safe sender’s list to ensure that you will get this email.
- If you don’t see the test result email by Tue, Dec 15th, please check your spam folder. If you still don’t have it, please email [email protected].
- The test result email will contain a link to download and print your student’s certificate as well (in case you didn’t get a chance to download it earlier).
- Students who are in the top 10% in their grade level and division will earn medals.
- Student who scores the highest overall in their grade level and division will earn a special prize as well.
- The names of the top 10% students (first name, last initial and school name) will be uploaded on our website HERE on or after Dec 18th.

Certificate and Tournament Result
- All registered students can download a certificate that can be printed after they complete the test.
- The individual result will be emailed to each student starting on Monday December 14th at 10am. This email will also include a link to download student's certificate along with student's test details (test questions, student's answer and the correct answers for the ones that student got incorrect)
- The tabulated national results for the top 10% will be posted on our website on Monday, December 21st. This will include the names (first name and initial of last name) of students who score in the top 10% nationally.
School Give Back Program

Student's registration

- This tournament will be held online. To successfully take this online test, the following system's requirement must be met:
- Students need to have a desktop, laptop or mobile device with a browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc).
- Configure your browser to enable Cookies, 3rd Party Cookies and JavaScript. You can search on how to do this specifically for the browser you are planning to use.
- Good internet connection.
- Since this is an online test, students will need to know how to use a mouse and keyboard to select an answer, navigate from one question to another, etc. They also will need to enter their first name, last name, parent's email and access code. Please note that for younger students (grade 1 and 2), parents might need to help their student on this before they start the test.
- No refund after registration.
- All times indicated are in Pacific Time Zone. Please convert accordingly to your local time zone.
- On Dec 12, 2020, students can start the test at anytime between 10am - 5pm PST (Pacific Standard Time). This is an automated online test system and the system will automatically close access to any test before 10 am and after 5pm PST.
- Once you have submitted your student's registration, our system will automatically send you an email confirmation which also contains a link to practice materials. Please look in your spam folder and email [email protected] if you don't see this email within 1 hour after registration.
- Students and parents agree to abide by the tournament policy/rules. You can find the MCT policy/rules HERE.
- The optional school's 3-digit code for the give back program can't be added or changed after registration. You can find all participating schools and the 3-digit code HERE. Please leave this field blank if your school is not participating.
- To register, click on the registration button below, select Dec 12 and choose the 10am start time slot. Students can start the test at anytime between 10am - 5pm PST (Pacific Standard Time). Once students have started the test, they will have one hour to complete it in one sitting.
- Based on requests from several schools, tournament registration will be extended and will stay open until Monday, Nov 30th at Noon.
