This class is designed for students to explore math topics through hands-on math projects and activities.
Typical Schedule (Class Format)
Warm-up - Mental Math or Puzzle or short Math Game
Topic overview
Math Task 1, followed by class discussion and concept summary

Break
Math Task 3 or group/team challenge, followed by class discussion and concept summary
Cool Down Activity
Optional Extension at home; no homework except for unfinished projects

Math Adventure - in Person
Students strengthen their arithmetic, number sense, analytical reasoning, visual perception, and logical deduction skills through tasks and projects that are fun and interesting. Areas of exploration may include cryptography, 2D and 3D arts and building concepts, patterns, and strategy games. Most tasks are on hands-on projects.

- Optical Illusions: students construct cube kaleidoscope
- Keva 3D Architecture: students create three-dimensional contraption structure using KEVA planks
- Math Detectives: students gather clues and solve logic problems, decode Rail fence cipher, Scytale Cipher, and Dancing Men Cipher
