Summer 2019 Competitive Math Classes
In these classes, students explore variety of math topics and problem-solving strategy in-depth, practice problem-solving competition style problems, and learn to think at an advanced level as they tackle challenging problems. These classes includes practice problems that help them build strategies that will be useful in real competitions.
Classes meet 2 hours every day for 1 full week (M - F). There are 2 different classes: Competitive Math A and Competitive Math B.
Ellipsis Academy Competitive Math classes are available on the following week:
Aug 12 - Aug 16
All competitive Math classes will be held at Ellipsis Academy Overlake location.

Competitive Math A
Competitive Math A class is designed to foster creative problem solving, to extend student math knowledge and skills, and to expose students to competition similar to Math Olympiad, Math League, Math Kangaroo and Math Challenge Tournament.
Admittance Requirements:
Class Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm
Fee: $295
Admittance Requirements:
- Grade: this class is for incoming Gr 4-6 who are already good or ahead in math and would like to take their skills to the next level.
- Self Test: please have your students take the following self test within 30 minutes. She/he must correctly answer 20 or more questions. SELF TEST KEY for SCORING

Competitive Math B
Competitive Math B class is designed to foster creative problem solving, to extend student math knowledge and skills, and to expose students to competition similar to with the MathCounts, Math Olympiad, and AMC8.
Admittance Requirements:
Class Time: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Fee: $295
Admittance Requirements:
- Grade: this class is for incoming Gr 5-7 who are already good or ahead in math and would like to take their skills to the next level.
- Self Test: please have your students take the following self test within 30 minutes. She/he must correctly answer 11 or more questions. SELF TEST KEY for SCORING
