summer camp policies
Tuition, Payments and Refunds
Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Campers must pay in full to reserve their place.
Parents can withdraw their student from a class by May 24, 2019 to receive a full refund minus $50 cancellation fee. No refund will be given after Jun 10, 2019.
If unforeseen conditions, including, but not limited to, power outages, epidemics, and earthquake, cause Ellipsis Academy to shut down its summer camp for any length of time, no tuition will be refunded, credited, or transferred.
Schedule
Schedule is subject to change depending on coach and enrollment requirements. If a summer class is canceled for any reason, you will be notified no later than 7 days before the class start date and refunded the full amount.
Conduct and Discipline
Campers are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and to treat those working around them with respect. Campers whose behavior is disruptive to the class will be removed from the classroom, and their parents will be notified. The directors reserved the right, at their sole discretion, to withdraw any camper whose influence or actions are deemed unsatisfactory or detrimental to the camp or who will not abide by the camp rules and policies. If this occurs, no reduction or return of fee, or any part thereof, will be made.
Attendance and Punctuality
Ellipsis Academy does not offer make-up classes. All classes start at the scheduled time and students must be on time to fully benefit from the program. Tardiness is disruptive to both the instructor and to other campers.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up
It is essential that a parent or other authorized adult pick up campers when classes are over. Parents who fails to pick up their children within fifteen minutes of the end of their individual class are considered late and will be charged $15 for every 15 minutes. If an adult other than a parent is to pick up a camper, Ellipsis Academy staff needs to be notified prior to the pick-up.
First Aid and Medications It is the responsibility of parents to provide Ellipsis Academy with an accurate and current emergency phone numbers and instructions. Ellipsis Academy staff are not allowed to administer first-aid or to dispense over-the-counted medications to any camper without express prior written permission of parents. A first aid kit is always available for any camper requiring an antiseptic or Band-Aid. Just like in any camp, there is a possibility of physical injury. Parents agree to assume these risks and to release Ellipsis Academy, its officers, directors, employees and camp helpers, and hold them harmless from and waive any claim against Ellipsis Academy as to any injury that may occur to their child(ren) while attending Ellipsis Academy Summer Camp and Classes.
Illness and Absences
Notify us by email ([email protected]) if a child is ill, especially if the illness is communicable. Internally, we keep track of the instances of communicable diseases, and when appropriate will notify parents of all children that may have been exposed, while respecting the confidentially of campers and families involved. Campers who have communicable diseases will be sent home and may not return to camp until the illness has been treated successfully and the camper is symptom free. There will be no credits or refunds for missed class(es).
Electronics, Toys, Trading Cards & Pins
We strives to provide a program free from cell phones, audio players, toys and other distractions. Prized possessions should be left at home. Please do not permit your child to bring any of these items to camp.
Lunch and Snacks Full day campers need to bring a minimum of 2 water bottles, lunch in a cold pack, and 2 healthy snacks. Campers who take two classes (am and pm) need to bring a minimum of 1 water bottle, lunch in a cold pack, and a healthy snack. Don not send NUT products on the first day of camp in case one of our campers has a severe allergy. Campers are NOT allowed to share food.
